It can feel long and has some flaws/filler tracks but it has some straight up bangers. The Weeknd goes more mainstream without coming off as trying to pander or as selling out ...as a lot of lovers have accused him of. Nice album.

Loved this album, each song is nice! To be honest, I was expecting more Trilogy vibes and there's not much of that but still I love this. It's very retro and upbeat! Now it's like he's got different albums for different moods.

Far to inconsistent although I appreciate he tried to take a risk with his sound. The end effects is messy. With heavy differences between the great, horrible and the ugly. Sadly this album was full of fillers.

Not horrible. Nice songs on the album. There were only two I didn't like. (Attention and Real Colors🖓) Wasn't expecting it to be as great as his older equipment but still great none the less. He's still the lord of the fall in my ebook.

The album is nice. However, the thing I found slightly annoying was that some of the songs had choruses that were one or two lines repeated three or four times. Kinda pulling an Ellie Goulding there. It's still worth listening to, though. I hope at some target he and Lana Del Rey create an album together.

This is by far the finest album I've heard. Normally one would search they like only a several songs and skip over the rest. That's not the topic with this album. Each single song flows into one other without you even noticing it (Unless you're focusing on it) and this is even on shuffle. Each single song is brilliantly made with detail to every and each instrument or aspect of the song. I would definitely buy this album because it is simply nice and very well worth the dollars. You can definitely claim a lot of effort was place into making the album and all the songs it consists of

The Weeknd is branching out, and I'm dig'n it. Within this 1 album, there are 5-6 true hits, and the rest have a true chill vibes to listen to. He's made other album, yet again, where I can literally listen from beginning to end. I admit though, in the beginning when I first heard Starboy or False Alarm, I wasn't sure - yet Abel's voice, the vibe, performances, and song videos convinced me otherwise. Took a 3rd listen to really love it, and so I feel those who didn't like his newest style, take other couple of listens. He is a legend, and I feel this album reflects it. Having Daft Punk in it, was also the finest thing to happen. I can't wait to see him live.

I've got to claim, when I initially listened to some of the songs on this album, I was type of place off by it because it is so different to The Weeknds usual style and not what I'm used to. However, I have listened to the album some more and have really grown to like it. Some of the songs on this album (such as False Alarm) are much more aggressive than his previous songs and, some of them may seem more light hearted. Overall, it's a nice album if you give it a chance and has a large tons for anyone's taste.

I just got around to listen to this album, and all I can claim is love it, it's splendid! I didn't skip through any songs. It has a fusion of modern with some 70's disco, electronic, and micheal jackson sounds. His collab with Daft Punk is what gave it that edge, I also like the collab with Lana. Love to lay, Starboy, Prisoner, Secrets, Real Colors are some of my favoured.

Starboy gets me pumped. And the video to False Alarm is a players's dream, while the song itself is relateable af if you've ever known someone of that caliber. Those are the 2 songs that caught my attention. There is some powerful Michael Jackson sound in many of the others and while I loved MJ, I can never love someone else sounding like him.

This album is simply poor. They could have scratched the whole project. Hopefully, the weeknd remembers who he really is and stops being influenced by his corporate surroundings. Very dissapointed. Got a refund. Had to hear it on youtube.

The Weeknd has been making nice song since day one. Even as he is growing more known to the mainstream listeners, he is still staying real to who he has usually been. His song is evolving and things are different, but it is still nice. This album is everything I hoped it would be. I can't wait to see him in concert in June. I am also too entirely eager to see what he plans to bring to us on his next album. XOTWOD

My guy Abel has once again upped the title. Absolutely love this album but id have to claim I'm not the largest fan of Sidewalks. All of the autotune in it is so unnecessary considering he has such a nice voice without it. Overall AMAZING album!!

This album is overall different and special from all his another works. He has more of a feeling towards who he loves than a lot of his another albums (yes I know Echoes of Silence), but of course the dynamic collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, Future, Lana Del Rey, Daft Punk, etc. create this albums an original. I heard a lot of M.J. influence in this album, from the beats to the idea Weekend sings the songs. Being a M.J. fan it goes without claiming...I enjoy this album as a entire. However, I am still not sure about adding artists like Future, I guess that song will have to grow on me a tiny more, but I still rate it 5 for the overall appeal/experience.

Now, I love the Trilogy, Kiss Land, and BBTM, and I also love this. I just hate how everyone wants to bash on everything The Weeknd records that's NOT The Trilogy like it's just trash or him "selling out". Everyone thinks The Trilogy is great, but it's not. Thursday is his worst album imo. Starboy is him changing things up and I respect that and I'm really enjoying that he's coming out of his shell a tiny more. We saw it a tiny in BBTM, but now it's all out here. I LOVE IT! ❤

Album sticks to its theme through every and each song. Has a great mix of songs and informations. It's not like his previous albums however will give you a renewed and refined ver of the weeknd. Furthermore the production behind it is outstanding especially with daft punk giving a technoish vibe that plays an integral role in this entire album. Highly suggested.

The Weeknd is unarguably one of the finest modern performers. Starboy is a step up (in my opinion) from his last album, Beauty Behind the Madness. BBTM had a lot of radio-friendly tracks, but this album has a lot of equipment that isn't like anything on the radio currently. Most of the songs have techno/electronic/trap elements, but there are some slower songs. Starboy, I Feel It Coming, Rockin', Reminder, Real Colors, and a Lonely Night are my favorites. Definitely worth buying

I love all his song, have been a fan for yrs and I love this album as well. Each song on here is nice. From lyrics to song. I love the fact that he branched out and is willing to test out different styles, present different ranges of his voice. Yes, it's not "dark" as his previous song but it's true and original as his another song.

I love how Abel reaches deep into his soul and finds the words and song to express the war going on inside himself. So many musicians just throw words on a sheet, create a lil beat and call it a day. Not Abel. If you listen to the lyrics you can feel his pain, his passion, his struggles. Yet he's talented enough to trick us into dancing along to the beat... paying tribute to the greats of those that paved the idea for him and the another musicians we have today.

Sounds like everything cute much played on any top 40 radio today, my wife was listening to Starboy and started testing Rihanna's 'Work' under it and sadly it damn near synced up together, all but proving most of the mainstream artists all use the same rhythm, beat and tempo. I'll stick to my indie/alt artists.

Still has a great sound, at first I thought i wouldnt like it because I wasn't really feeling starboy..at FIRST. Then the song started to catch on and i saw M A N I A on youtube and king the songs are great.For those claiming this isnt deep song, listen to the lyrics..the weeknd isnt as depressed and dark but now he is experiencing life from a different scope and now he is feeling more than his past self. Embrace the mew him, stop being stuck in the past..

My first thought was Oh why did he obtain away from his dark twisted style. But I kept listening and I began to catch the vibe and from then on I was hooked. It's a nice album. You can hear the mj influence in this album and he still has plenty of songs with that laid back style. And to somehow fit future and kendrick lamar in this album without it sounding forced shows he's a musical genious

Ok look, if you are looking for trilogy/kiss land weeknd stop none of that here. Alot of MJ vibes while the lyrical work is not MJ like, the song, melodies, production very 80s MJ like. Now that's nice, The Weeknd wants to branch out as lovers we could be ok with him wanting to grow, but at the same time you still wish to see the old ver in there a tiny bit. The album is packed with high energy, speedy paced, song. I wish to give it 5 btw, but I'm just not a hardcore fan of this song style.
